What Healthcare & Family Services (HFS) does

HFS runs Illinois Medicaid programs for groups including children, parents, seniors, people with disabilities and pregnant women. For health care providers it publishes provider notices and offers behavioral health and pharmacy resources and a Medicaid Technical Assistance Center. It also runs child support services and an Office of Inspector General for reporting fraud and abuse.
